Miranda Technologies announce HD deal with NBC Universal

Miranda Technologies has signed a multi-year deal to provide NBC Universal with HD terminal, channel branding, and multi-imaging solutions, as part of the global media and entertainment company's project to standardise its new HD facility build-outs.
The versatility of the award-winning XVP-801i HD/SD Universal Video Processor Cross Converter was a key element in NBC Universal's decision to opt for Miranda solutions.
As part of the purchase, NBC Universal chose HD Imagestore units for channel branding, Kaleido K2 multi-image display processors, and an array of HD interfacing modules that includes the XVP 801i.
"This large-scale undertaking serves to demonstrate the synergy and potency of Miranda's different systems working together. In that same vein, Miranda will work closely with NBC Universal to meet its HD build-out needs," said Miranda CEO Strath Goodship. "Our partnership with NBC Universal will no doubt have a considerable effect on the shaping of our product roadmap."
Miranda's solutions will also be integrated into the NBC Olympics facilities, and will be online for the 2006/2008 Olympics in Torino and Beijing.
