Aquarium adds depth with acquisition of Soho neighbour Mosaic Pictures

Aquarium, the BAFTA nominated audio post facility in Wardour Street, is acquiring Mosaic Pictures, one of Soho’s longest established and most respected editing houses.

At just over seven years old, Aquarium has established itself at the forefront of sound production. From award-winning sound design and mixing for TV dramas and documentaries for clients such as Granada, Talkback and the BBC, through to multimedia, exhibition installations and corporate films, Aquarium were also responsible for the sound on four of the top ten computer games in 2004. Their flexible approach and broad expertise enable them to constantly push the limits of sound production to new heights.
Mosaic Pictures’ experience spans 40 years and a wealth of productions during that time. Their team include BAFTA award-winning film editor Ted Roberts, who became the first recipient of the RTS Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000, On-line editor Gary Simms, Dubbing Mixer Peter Hodges and Technical Assistant Scott Hales, who will all join Aquarium.

Mosaic Films, the independent production company founded by Colin Luke, remains outside the sale.
