DSP MEDIA EXHIBIT NEW UPGRADES AT NAB2001

AT THIS year's NAB, DSP Media will be exhibiting several new hardware and software upgrades as well as announcing exclusive agreements between complementary pro audio manufacturers in order to further enhance their existing high-end post-production line of products.
At the show, DSP Media will unveil Vmotion, a random access hard disk video recorder and player for the audio post-production industry. Available as a stand-alone unit controlled from a high-resolution touch screen, Vmotion will be able to interface with mixing consoles or sequencer/DAW’s via 9-pin machine control and LTC. Vmotion can act as the master or slave and is most powerful when used with its touch screen control for instant picture location.
Additionally, DSP Media will be releasing version 2.1 of AVtransfer the company’s multi-format, multi-standard conversion software. The first fully integrated project (EDL) and multi-format audio file transfer utility of its kind, AVtransfer opens, plays, combines and exports audio files and projects in OMF and any of today’s leading professional formats. In version 2.1, AVtransfer will be able to store up to 64 character length clip names, will allow exporting of 8 bit wave and AIFF files and most significantly, will transfer CD track and index files to disk named from the CD library database.
DSP Media will also be announcing a distribution agreement with Sound Ideas, the world’s largest publishers of sound effects CD-libraries. In this agreement, DSP will be able to sell the Sound Ideas’ original CD libraries pre-digitised on disk. Users will now be able to purchase the Sound Ideas effects libraries on hard disk in DSP's native AudiOS format for almost instantaneous access to thousands of effects.
Finally DSP Media will be introducing plug-in capabilities via a Soundscape Mixtreme card to the digital mixer of Postation II, thereby expanding the mixing capacity of the system to third party manufacturers such as TC Electronics, Wave Mechanics and Dolby. All settings for the plug-ins will be stored in the project for instant recall.
