UK-based rental house expand video broadcast business

Equipment rental company Presteigne Broadcast Hire, part of the Avesco Group, based in the UK, have placed a multimillion-Euro order for a full complement of Grass Valley LDK digital signal processing cameras to support their expanding broadcast video rental business.
Presteigne have purchased 12 new LDK 200 cameras, four LDK 6000 mk II systems, and two LDK 23HS mk II slow-motion camera systems. Most of the equipment will be used for the wide-ranging sports and documentary productions that Presteigne supports every year.
Presteigne Managing Director Mike Ransome said: “The LDK 200 system is extremely popular with our company’s UK clients, who like the camera’s 12-bit digital signal processing and easy switching capability between the 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios. In addition, the camera’s 22-bit digital signal processing guarantees that the 600 percent dynamic range of its Dynamic Pixel Management (DPM) CCD sensors is fully and perfectly exploited at all times.”
