PHILIPS TO UNVEIL COMPLETE SD CAMERA LINE-UP AT NAB

AT NAB 2001, Philips Broadcast Cameras will be showing its complete SDTV camera line-up.
The Philips LDK 23HS MKII super slow-motion camera has set the standard for slow motion in the last few years. Improvements in the MKII include better flicker compensation under artificial lighting.
The LDK 200, which completes the LDK 100 family of Triax production cameras, has been extremely successful, both in terms of orders and customer feedback, say Philips. The new modular base station, with useful features, and weighing just 17 kg will also be on show.
The LDK 6000HD Series High Definition systems boast the HD-DPM+ sensor. This CCD sensor, with 9.2 million pixels, can be switched natively between 1080i and 720p. The HD base station offers HD and high-quality SDTV outputs simultaneously; this system is also unique in employing newly developed Triax-HD, which utilizes standard Triax links and allows reuse of the large installed base of Triax throughout the world.
The LDK 7000HD Digital Cinematography Camera provides, in addition, the native true progressive frame rates that are common for film-type applications, such as 1080p24, p25 and p30. At 720p, it provides frame rates that allow slow-motion applications.
In addition, the camera offers super-wide aspect ratios for acquisition at ratios greater than 16:9.
