ASSOCIATED PRESS TO UNVEIL LATEST VERSION OF ENPS

ASSOCIATED Press (AP) will unveil version 3.0 of their Electronic News Production System (ENPS) at NAB 2001.
Introduced in 1997, the system has become broadcasting's most popular newsroom system and is now installed or under contract at more than 170 networks, television and radio stations.
The updated and streamlined product will include powerful new text editing features based upon a DHTML storage model and other exciting enhancements to facilitate web authoring.
ENPS 3.0 will also extend AP’s leadership in implementing the MOS protocol with new capabilities designed to more tightly integrate ENPS with facility automation systems. In addition, building upon the DHTML capabilities MOS will now provide more direct links to a variety of external devices through the export of XML tagged text.
AP are one of the world's oldest and largest newsgathering organisations, providing text, audio, news photos, graphics, video and technology to more than 15,000 news outlets worldwide. (CD)
