dB Broadcast announces further expansion

dB Broadcast, one of the UK's largest independent systems integrators, has announced a further expansion, of both its workforce and its manufacturing facilities.
Tom Swan, dB's Director of Sales and Marketing, said: "Our in-house self-funded training programme for local youngsters continues and we have recently taken on two new trainee wiremen (Luke Evans and Jordan Sherriff).
"Consistent with our increased workload and turnover, we also took on a purchasing/logistics assistant (Matthew Stack) in November 2004 and two IT engineers (Matthew Maddox and Simon Clark) in December of that year. In mid-February 2005, we will also be joined by a new broadcast engineer (Neil Chatter).
"This takes dB to a full-time staff of 40, confirming our status as one of the largest independent systems houses in the UK, with 13 engineers and nearly 20 wiremen.
"We have also built another floor to Merlin House, the second of the company's purpose-built buildings. This additional area enables the prefabrication of up to 100 racks, and still leaves space for desks and other systems.
"This ability to pre-fabricate on a large scale is becoming more and more important for systems integrators as the pressure on deadlines gets tighter and tighter."
