dB BROADCAST APPOINT TWO ENGINEERS

AFTER announcing the appointment of two engineers in early summer, dB Broadcast have added two further graduates to their engineering staff: Paula de Matos and Damian Jones.
The new appointments confirm dB’s status as one of the largest independent systems integrators in the UK. Both graduate engineers are currently undergoing training, including hands-on experience with Phillips encoding and compression systems.
Paula de Matos, 23, has a BEng degree from the university of Pretoria. Damian Jones, 25, has an honours BSc degree from the University of East Anglia. Both will work on software configuration.
The company have also appointed Robert Mason as a project assistant to work on cable scheduling and autoCAD drawings. Mason has City & Guilds certificates in electrical installations and electronic servicing.
David Bird, managing director of dB Broadcast, said: “In a very competitive market, we have won exactly 75 orders in the last three months, so these two new graduate engineers and our new project assistant are a welcome addition to the team.”
As well as actively recruiting graduate engineers, dB also run their own training school for young technicians and wiremen.
