BBC AWARD CONTRACT TO ATG SPECTRUM

ATG Spectrum, independent broadcast system integrators, have been awarded a prestigious contract by the BBC to design and build a new Multi-Channel Transmission Area at Television Centre in London.
The new state-of-the-art resource is being designed and installed by ATG Spectrum to allow concurrent transmission and monitoring of multiple channels. Cutting edge technology including Colossus Automation from Omnibus Systems and Omneon Video Area Network Servers will be used. A custom ATG Spectrum control panel will interface directly with the Colossus Automation, allowing rapid manual intervention on any channel.
The system has been specifically designed to allow extra channels to be installed at low incremental prices, should additional capacity be required.
Transmission is due to start in October.
