Broadcast specialist completes post on MTV’s 'Top Buzzer'

Full-service postproduction facility blue has completed the post for 'Top Buzzer', a new comedy drama series written for MTV by Johnny Vaughan and Ed Allen.
The series, which was produced by World’s End, is the first of its kind to be aired on MTV. It follows the lives of small-time cannabis dealers Lee and Sticky and the colourful characters who drop by their home – the top buzzer flat. Every ring of the buzzer introduces a customer, from new punter Sophie and ‘boring’ Dave the motorcycle courier - to terminal freeloader Carlton and petty villain Ken.
blue has completed the grade and audio post as well as online work for the ten episodes in this series. As well as film-moding the digibeta-shot footage, online editor Clive Mattock created a number of custom wipes and speed ramp effects.
“At every stage in the production of Top Buzzer we wanted to achieve the production values of film without having a film budget,” said Greg Boardman, Executive Producer, MTV. “Having worked with blue on 'As If' we knew that they had the ability and talent to work to a tight schedule (and an even tighter budget) while enhancing the production. The quality of the end product is testament to that.”
