Lola offers full HD pipeline with Discreet’s flame systems
Soho post-production facility Lola has invested in a second Discreet flame visual effects and compositing system as part of its ongoing investment in high-definition (HD) equipment.
Discreet’s flame system was sold to Lola by authorised UK reseller XTFX.
Co-founded by flame system compositor Rob Harvey and 3D animator Grahame Andrew, Lola specialises in effects work for commercials, broadcast and film.
“Discreet’s flame system links in with our existing HD systems and the HDCam deck that we’ve bought to provide a full HD pipeline,” explained Andrew. “It has been in use non-stop for the past three months.”
Lola has completed several major projects with the new flame system, including science-factual 'Supervolcano' for the BBC, Maroon 5’s latest music video, and an EA Sports commercial.
