Multimedia Direct install EditShare at Majestic

Multimedia Direct (MMD) has completed the integration of EditShare, the shared storage, editing and administration software, at Majestic TV (formerly Blue Sky TV), the Sky digital channel based in Spain.
The installation, which was completed in November 2004, required Multimedia Direct to provide a 2TB Editshare to connect to six systems: one Adrenaline, one Xpress Studio, three Xpress Pro + Mojo, and one Xpress Pro.
Majestic TV, which is dedicated to helping people relocate to Spain, were keen to find a system that would enable them to work collaboratively without breaking their budget. With advise from Multimedia Direct, they found that EditShare was both cost effective and offered a great alternative to LANshare.
Ed Radford at Majestic said: "We have been working with Editshare for about three months, and it has functioned flawlessly.
It has proved to be a simple and elegant solution to the logistical problems we faced in setting up our facility.

Multimedia Direct were responsible for specifying the system and installing it and the company now provides regular back-up and onsite support.
