Multimedia Direct named UK EditShare reseller

Multimedia Direct (MMD), a leading digital video reseller, has become the sole UK representative for EditShare, an award-winning system for networked media file storage and collaborative video editing.
MMD is aiming EditShare at small to medium sized production companies, broadcasters and workgroups running standalone versions of content creation solutions including Avid Xpress DV and Xpress Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro. It can support up to 10 standalone workstations simultaneously.
EditShare represents a new approach to networked, collaborative editing systems, and delivers a viable, high performance solution for budget-conscious companies, who don't want their creativity to be restricted.
EditShare allows all connected content creation workstations to create and access a common pool of media files, while guaranteeing that individual workstations never interfere with, damage, or erase media on other workstations on the network.
