POST LOGIC SELECT SNELL & WILCOX

SNELL & Wilcox have announced that Post Logic Studios, a leading post production facility, have purchased three Snell & Wilcox HD1010 high-definition production switchers.
The facility will install the new HD1010s in three of their telecine bays for multi-format feature film mastering in high-definition.
Post Logic Studios have already taken delivery of one HD1010 and expect to install all three units by late June. The first unit will be installed as part of a high-definition upgrade in what was previously a standard definition-only bay, while the remaining two units will replace Panasonic switchers in their two high definition telecine bays. Thom Ferman, Director of Engineering, said: "The most important feature that attracted us to the HD1010 was its multi-standard capability to handle both 1080i and 24p high definition formats. Quite frankly, we found no competition for this switcher. It appears to be a specialty product for multi-standard work in the telecine environment. Unquestionably, it was the choice for Post Logic Studios."
