Denham Productions announces Eden Project commisions

Denham Productions, the South West’s longest-established independent production company, has been commissioned by BBC Two to make two 60’ specials on The Eden Project, the famous education and research center in Bodelva, Cornwall.
‘Gardening at Eden’ and ‘Tomorrow’s Eden’, both working titles, will be the first projects to be developed and made out of Denham’s new Cornwall office. Both programmes will be a rare glimpse behind-the-scenes and a first look at a maturing landscape as is brought to the peak of display perfection.
Gardening at Eden follows the world's biggest greenhouse’s 60-strong team of gardeners as they tackle the extreme gardening conditions and manage the ongoing pruning and tending of some of the most exciting planting in the United Kingdom. Gardening at Eden is about the plants and the people, the practicalities the gardeners face, their knowledge and passion, and the very special spectacle that is Eden, a plant paradise that each year inspires millions of visitors.
Tomorrow’s Eden looks at how Eden reconciles its ecological role with that of high profile tourist destination. The programme is narration-based, following the spectacular construction of the new education centre, which is designed to be an award-winning architectural statement, marrying education and entertainment with serious science.

Instrumental in developing both projects and Executive Producer for Denham Productions is Jeremy Gibson. The Executive Producer for BBC TWO is Richard Klein, and the Producer/Director is Geoff Dunlop. Both productions are currently in production for delivery in summer 2005.
