OVER 30 SPEAKERS TO ATTEND BCM CONFERENCE

OVER 30 speakers have been confirmed for the second TVBEurope/CCE Broadcast Content Management (BCM) conference to be held June 21-22 at the British Library in Central London.
BCM is the only European event to tackle the problems of managing media and assets through the broadcast process.
This year's event is certain to surpass delegate attendance at BCM 2000, and sponsoring companies already confirmed include Ascential Software, Dalet, Digital Vision, Encoda Systems, IBC, Ibis, Pazap, Pinnacle Systems and Tecmath.
Highlight speakers booked for the two day conference include Remi Abayomi, Director of Broadcast Operations, Fox Kids Europe; Andy Barmer, Director of New Media development, The Mill; Keith Cass, Director of Technology, ITN; Chris Daubney, Consultant and former Chief Engineer at Channel 4 UK; Kevin Ivey, VP for Research & Development, CNN; Jane Marshall, Chief Executive, Carlton Active; and Christophe Scherer, Technical and Computer Manager, France Television Publicité.
Two industry dynamics have driven BCM from their inception. The first is the ongoing shift in television broadcasting from concerns primarily to do with channel management, towards content management incorporating essence, metadata and digital assets. The second is the ever-growing pressure on all content creators and content owners to produce more material for more outlets, at less cost.
The BCM conference programme has been developed by a TVBEurope editorial team comprising David Fox, George Jarrett and Nick Radlo, directed by Editor-in-Chief Fergal Ringrose.
BCM is a United Business Media International event. (CD)
