ITC APPOINTS NEW HEAD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS

HUW Rossiter is to join the Independent Television Commission (ITC) as Head of Public Affairs.
Currently the Head of Press and Publicity at BBC Wales, Rossiter will manage the press office team and information centre and help implement the ITC's publicity and lobbying plans.
Working to Richard Peel, Director of Public Affairs, Nations and Regions, Rossiter will be responsible for helping to articulate the ITC's strategies and manage media relations.
Peel said: “Huw Rossiter has considerable experience in press and public relations management and will add valuable expertise and skill to our public affairs team.”
Rossiter has spent most of his career working in publicity and public relations for the BBC. A former reporter with the South Wales Evening Post in Swansea, he joined the BBC in London in 1982 as publicity officer for educational broadcasting. He later worked as publicist for television documentaries and religious programmes and as chief publicity feature writer before taking up his current role in Cardiff in 1992. (CD)
