KOKUSAI DENKI Electric To Make Public Debut At NAB Show 2025

News Image
NAB Show 2025 will mark the public debut of KOKUSAI DENKI Electric Inc., formerly known as Hitachi Kokusai Electric since 2000.

This rebranding follows the transfer of majority ownership of Hitachi Kokusai Electric's broadcast and production business from Hitachi Ltd. to Nisshinbo Holdings, Inc., reflecting a return to the company's original name.

KOKUSAI DENKI Electric's fresh branding and renewed energy will be showcased at Booth N528 in the LVCC North Hall at NAB from April 6-9, with live demonstrations led by the KOKUSAI DENKI Electric America division.

The company continues to encompass former Hitachi Kokusai Electric divisions, including broadcast and production cameras, industrial vision cameras, and critical imaging systems. At NAB Show 2025, the focus will be on broadcast and production camera systems, featuring the latest 4K/UHD TV production cameras, multi-format HDTV cameras, and multi-purpose box cameras.

Additionally, KOKUSAI DENKI Electric will demonstrate its ST-2110 camera workflow, which enables SDI cameras to integrate seamlessly into IP networks. The company will also host its new sister company, KOKUSAI DENKI Electric Linear S/A, known as 'Linear Denki', at its NAB booth. Based in Brazil, Linear Denki specialises in locally manufactured transmission equipment for terrestrial Digital TV and FM radio. At NAB Show 2025, Linear Denki will showcase its state-of-the-art DTV+ (TV3.0) MIMO transmitter alongside its advanced FM Radio transmitters.

KOKUSAI DENKI Electric's global operational structure remains unchanged, with Sean Moran continuing to lead the Americas division, Hirofumi Suzuki overseeing the Europe division (EMEA region), and Hwang Soo Min heading the Asia division (APAC region). Representatives from both the Europe and APAC divisions will be present at the NAB booth.

"The most important message for our customers and partners is that nothing changes—business continues as usual at KOKUSAI DENKI," said Sean Moran, COO of KOKUSAI DENKI Electric America, Inc. "Under our consolidated ownership, we remain committed to growth, sourcing the highest quality components, and investing in cutting-edge technologies to uphold the exceptional design, reliability, and innovation that define our camera systems worldwide."

Moran also confirmed that KOKUSAI DENKI Electric will showcase its entire current generation of cameras, including high-frame-rate models for slow-motion applications. The booth environment will highlight a sports production theme, featuring the following camera systems:

SK-UHD7000 4K/UHD TV Production Camera
Designed for dynamic live event production and 4K UHD presentations, the SK-UHD7000 features three 2/3-inch CMOS image sensors with native 4K resolution for capturing ultra-clear 3840x2160 UHD video. The sensors’ global shutter technology minimizes flickering and banding, ensuring superior performance in event venues, TV studios, and houses of worship. The SK-UHD7000-S2 model is a 1080p camera upgradeable to 4K/UHD through an affordable license. Also, SK-UHD7000 and SK-UHD7000-S2 offer high-frame-rate (4x HD slow motion) capabilities through an affordable license. The CU-IP7000 MoIP BOX and CU-UHD7000 optional MoIP unit enable seamless remote production and MoIP studio operations.

DK-H700 4K Box Camera
A compact and highly adaptable point-of-view (POV) solution, the DK-H700 is ideal for professional AV, government, and high-end broadcast applications. Featuring the same 2/3-inch UHD sensors as the SK-UHD7000, it ensures uniform image quality across different production environments. Its RGB 3-chip technology delivers 8.3 million pixels, resulting in sharp, vibrant images with minimal noise, outstanding color fidelity, and remarkable sensitivity.

Z-HD6500 Multi-Format HD Camera
Optimised for cost-effective and streamlined HD production, the Z-HD6500 incorporates the latest advancements in imaging technology. With F10 sensitivity at 59.94 fps, it provides high-quality video capture in low-light conditions, while its 62dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) ensures ultra-quiet images. Its global shutter technology eliminates artifacts such as banding and flickering, making it perfect for houses of worship, event centres, and broadcast studios utilising LED lighting and displays. The camera supports both High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) workflows for seamless multi-format production.
