INTERACTIVE TAYSIDE HIGHLIGHT NEW OPPORTUNITIES

INTERACTIVE Tayside are inviting the public to a forthcoming information and networking event that will highlight new opportunities for anybody who is interested or involved in Digital Media and the Creative Industries.
The Information and Networking Event will take place on June 28 2001 at Sensation, Dundee.
Bernadette Kesting from Channel 6 Dundee will be speaking at the event.
Channel 6 Dundee is the new local TV station launched on June 1 reaching an estimated 125,000 viewers in the city and the surrounding area offering music videos, live shows, student animation and videos, cartoons, arts programming, community information, what's on and more.
Kesting will provide an overview of the Channel 6 activities and highlight the opportunities for digital media companies and others to work with, and benefit from, the station's presence as a way of producing and distributing content and reaching new and existing markets.
Emma Valentine from MEDIA Antenna Scotland will also be speaking at the event.
MEDIA is an EU funding scheme that offers support for film, television and new media companies in the areas of development, distribution, training, festivals and promotion. Under their new programme companies can apply individually directly to Brussels for grant support for eligible projects related to the production of materials for media and platforms, internet, interactive television, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, games consoles, mobile devices and broadband.
Valentine will provide further information about the programme and confirm the types of projects that are eligible.
