Information TV upgraded thanks to Ascent Media

The newly launched Information TV channel has been upgraded from the 'Specialist' category to Sky Digital Channel 588, under the 'News and Documentaries' category.
Information TV is hosted at Stephen Street headquarters of Ascent Media Network Services Europe (AMNSE), and is transmitted from its Central Playout Area.
The multi-channel architecture of AMNSE’s Central Playout Area helps programme makers get their channels onto air quickly and cost-effectively, as well as providing automated transmission in a tapeless environment.
Information TV was set-up by former Stationery Office Chief Executive, Fred Perkins, and provides sponsored airtime to government departments, public bodies and other service institutions.
“Ascent Media has provided us not only with the facilities to help launch a start-up channel but many additional benefits,” said Perkins.
