Hugh Heinsohn appointed President of Digital Vision US

Digital Vision, the leader in image processing for postproduction, has announced that Hugh Heinsohn has been appointed President of the company's US subsidiary.
Heinsohn will be responsible for operations in North and South America, and will also participate in the development of new business and marketing plans as a member of the company's executive team. He will be based at Digital Vision's US headquarters in North Hollywood, CA.
Heinsohn was most recently President of Xytech Systems Corporation, an enterprise software company that provides sophisticated control and data systems and related professional services to the major movie studios and television networks, large postproduction companies and others.
Prior to moving to Xytech in 2000, Heinsohn was General Manager of Digital Vision's US office for three years. He returns to DV with great anticipation. Heinsohn said: "Digital Vision has incredible technology, a bright and energetic group of engineers, and solid management. It's very exciting to get back with this world-class team. A lot has changed since I was with the company in the late 1990's. The real challenge for us in this new environment will be to find new markets and develop new technologies that exploit our expertise in the fields of high quality image processing and compression."
Before joining Digital Vision originally in 1997, Heinsohn held long-term positions as Director of Export Sales for broadcast equipment, Vice-President of International Sales for computer peripherals, and Director of Marketing for telecommunications equipment.
Digital Vision CEO Bengt Broman said: "Hugh has more than 25 years of experience in our industry and we are very glad to have him re-join Digital Vision. His extensive experience in international business and high tech markets will be invaluable as we leverage our proven capabilities in image processing to develop new business opportunities."
