QUANTEL MORE CONFIDENT THAN EVER

QUANTEL HAVE announced that they will be performing beyond expectation, and will arrive at IBC 2001 stronger and more confident than ever.
Quantel’s iQ systems are now installed in every continent, and its promise to change working practices by delivering a multi-resolution, open post environment at the hub of a new integrated workflow model are beginning to be realised.
At IBC 2001 in the Post Production theatre, visitors will learn of yet more iQ application and plug-in partners, new effects capability for iQ from Quantel, and how it now fits seamlessly into the digital film environment with full 2K realtime film resolution working and powerful on-line (dual bandwidth) colour correction in conjunction with Pandora.
Also featured will be Editbox, with more new tools on show, and the Editbox Choice programme, which has added a ‘built-to-order’ option, allowing users to self-configure an ideal Editbox set-up for their individual needs.
Clipbox Studio, Quantel’s all-in-one live production centre has made it practical for broadcasters of any size to produce an entire news broadcast with only a single operator at an economic cost.
Over the last year, early adopters have begun to produce local news broadcasts of international quality, with strong branding and eye-catching effects. Now MOS integration takes this one step further - connecting Clipbox Studio directly with newsroom systems.
Quantel have also had huge success over the last year with larger scale news systems following the success of the ground-breaking Inspiration tapeless news system at ITN, London. Similar systems are now operational or being installed at TSR, Switzerland; TRT, Turkey; BSkyB, UK; GMTV, UK; Botswana TV; TVNZ, New Zealand: KOMO TV, USA; CBC, Canada.
Also key to broadcasters presentation is close-to-air graphics, and here the Paintbox FX continues to dominate. Recently introduced and on show at IBC is a moving key output option, giving Paintbox FX dual stream playback capability - direct to air graphics playout. (CD)
