CYFLE AND SGRIN ANNOUNCE ARISTA’S 2-DAY ADAPTIONS

CYFLE and Sgrin have announced that they are to host Arista’s 2-day Adaptations workshop on July 23-24.
The course, which offers a path through the technical complexities of the art and craft of the adapted screenplay, will be presented by Stephen Cleary and will feature a variety of guest speakers and panellists, including writers, directors, producers and literary agents.
The workshop starts by looking at the general creative questions adaptation poses and then breaks down those questions medium by medium.
The workshop format will be a mixture of lectures, group exercises, case studies, invited panel discussions and seminars. They will examine specific stories in their original and screen formats, meet writers, directors and producers who have and are wrestling with adaptations - and at the end of the two days, evolve a step-by-step guide to developing adaptations that work.
Arista will provide all participants with a coursebook containing detailed lecture notes, course timetable, participants’ contact details and tutor CVs, bibliography and information about all the stories featured on the course.
The course is ideally suited to ,Screenwriters, Producers, Development Executives, Novelists, Playwrights and Agents.
