Music from the RSM library is written specifically for use in film, television, advertising, radio and new media.
The company currently has over 1000 quality tracks available for use covering every musical style imaginable – users can stream 30 second audio samples from www.reliable-source.co.uk.
All tracks can be cleared quickly and easily through the MCPS. RSM is also proposing to bring out a DVD version of its catalogue which will make it easier for clients to search for tracks and find CD information as well as being able to listen and store all tracks in MP3 format.
RSM provides superior production music from some of the best media composers working in the UK today, including Oliver Davis, Warren Bennett, David Marsden and Keith Leary. All RSM writers use the best in recording technology and are happy to work to individual budgets.
RSM’s State Records was formed in 1975 and was an immediate success with seven chart hits in its first year. The catalogue now contains hundreds of quality recordings available for licensing including hits by Mac & Katie Kissoon, Delegation, Gary Benson and Rokotto.
Odyssey-State Music is RSM’s publishing label, which contains many popular hits from the 70’s and 80’s by artists such as Englebert Humperdinck and The Bay City Rollers. RSM even controls the famous football theme ‘Here We Go’!
In the case of many tracks, RSM control both the publishing and Master recording, and is therefore able to offer one inclusive price for licenses.
