VertigoXmedia announces new version of Xmedia Server

VertigoXmedia, a leading developer of broadcast graphics automation solutions, has announced a new version of Xmedia Server, the core application in the company's MOS-compliant, centralised asset management system.
The Xmedia Server is an integral part of VertigoXmedia's Producer Xmedia Suite, a complete system for creating, controlling, and delivering dynamic content in single- or multi-channel environments.
The new release of the Xmedia Server includes a ‘Graphics Work Order Management’ feature designed to further streamline the graphics automation workflow. Journalists and production staff can easily generate work orders for new graphic elements electronically, directly from their desktops. The Xmedia Server automatically distributes these work orders to the graphics department and provides a tracking mechanism that notifies users of work order status. Once a new graphic element is created, it is ingested by the Xmedia Server and becomes available like any other digital asset to be used as part of an on-air graphic.
The Xmedia Server also acts as a centralised asset management system, storing and managing all digital assets including templates, playlists, still images, and audio and video clips.
Developed for cross-platform publishing, the Xmedia Server publishes all graphic elements to any standard character generator as well as the company's own VertigoCG.
In addition, the Xmedia Server provides centralised management of real-time data feeds from virtually any source.
