365DIGITAL ANNOUNCE NEW MATROX PRODUCTS

MATROX DISTRIBUTORS 365digital have announced the release of additions to the world’s favourite non-linear editing platform range, the Digisuite Max.
The new product release will provide opportunities for Matrox editors to enhance the capabilities of their installation in the areas of 3D, graphic layers, DV input and output, Realtime MPEG2 and DV encoding.
The Digisuite Max is available combined with the basic platform of the Digisuite LE, DTV or LX and supports real-time DV acquisition and output as well as real-time MPEG2 encoding straight from the timeline.
The quality of DVD is exceptional as the real-time nature of the solution avoids re-compression and allows direct encoding, without the added overhead of rendering, to the MPEG2 format.
The Digisuite Max range features Matrox Flex 3D mix/effects architecture to exploit the explosive 3D graphics performance of the Matrox accelerator technology. The Flex 3D architecture is optimised to provide fully keyframeable, broadcast-quality 2D/3D effects and transitions. Flex 3D is fully programmable which means that the addition of more effects becomes available more easily. New effects can be created with the aid of supplementary software.
The new options will appeal to all types of Digisuite user, from the Post-production professionals who like the LE and its pristine image quality to the corporate in-house department who favour the low cost LX with its native DV capabilities. Broadcast and corporate professionals will be impressed with the DTV Max combining native DV material with higher quality DV50 4:2:2 sources and providing higher quality masters. (GB)
