LiveU To Demonstrate LiveU IQ

News Image
LiveU is demonstrating for the first time in the UK, its revolutionary technological breakthrough in IP-video transport, LiveU IQ (LIQ™) and bringing its expanded IP-video EcoSystem to MPTS 2025 in London, May 14th-15th.

LiveU IQ delivers unseen levels of optimization and substantially improves critical connectivity and performance. Tried and tested in real-world scenarios, LIQ ensures new levels of resiliency in the most challenging situations such as low bandwidth and heavily congested environments. It harnessess a trio of powerful and innovative decision-making solutions – historical transmission data, AI and eSIMs. Switching modems seamlessly and dynamically from one carrier to another at any given time or location, based on highest performing networks, LIQ makes the previously unachievable in live transmission, achievable.

Built as an interoperable IP-Positive platform, the LiveU EcoSystem is a powerful set of modular best-of-breed components that can be deployed and redeployed in a variety of workflows to answer every type of live production challenge. Underpinned by the company’s resilient, low-latency LRT™ (LiveU Reliable Transport) protocol, it adds efficiency and shortens workflows across the video production chain providing customers with high-quality live video contribution, production, and distribution solutions.

Other highlights at the show include:
Enhanced remote and on-site production – flexible, cost-effective and sustainable solutions
Ready for primetime, any time LiveU’s remote production solution takes advantage of the company’s leading 5G portable contribution units and fixed encoders in combination with its innovative production tools (IP Pipe, Video Return, Audio Connect, Tally Light). Changing the economics of production, users can quickly and easily scale from a lightweight cloud production to a full remote production using LiveU’s fixed encoder mode. The success of remote production has solidified its place in broadcast production tenders, with sports organizations and other live event producers now incorporating standards to ensure sustainable production.

Lightweight Cloud Production – using the cloud to make live production affordable and accessible
LiveU's Lightweight Sports Production solution makes fully featured, professional live sports production accessible and affordable for every event size. Built on a remote production "ground-to-cloud-to-crowd" model with broadcast-grade video performance, the turnkey solution utilises LiveU encoders, LiveU Mobile Data and LiveU Studio. The next-gen LiveU Studio cloud-native video production solution will be on display, featuring its brand-new interface and sports-centric toolset, including instant replay, ISO recording and clipping, enhanced audio mixer and SCTE for SRT.

LiveU story-centric workflows – accelerating production whilst reducing budgets
LiveU's latest integrations with other best-of-breed vendors (such as Mimir/Saga + Trint, Marquis + Avid) will be demonstrated at the show, eliminating manual processes with automated story-centric workflows and cloud collaboration. At the core is LiveU Ingest, its automatic recording and story metadata tagging solution. Part of the newsroom revolution, the feature-rich LiveU Ingest allows live content to be accessed from anywhere.

LiveU Matrix – live video distribution at your fingertips
LiveU Matrix allows users to manage an exponential number of live feeds and share them with global audiences, without the need for a costly satellite or fiber infrastructure. LiveU Matrix was used by major broadcasters for live coverage of the 2024 UK election providing the backbone of pooled political content.
