arkona technologies Appoints GTC As Channel Partner For Portugal

News Image
arkona technologies, provider of IP core infrastructure solutions for top-tier broadcast productions, has appointed broadcast and media technology integrator GTC as its channel partner in Portugal.

The newly formed partnership aligns with arkona's repositioning from solely OEM & development to a company where sales and support are handled directly for new customers and existing end users.

GTC provides a complement of end-to-end services, from choosing and supplying the right technology for each workflow to installing and maintaining state-of-the-art broadcasting and multimedia infrastructures. The company's team of technical personnel are trained to implement and support all phases of any media project.

Under the leadership of CEO Paulo Lima, GTC will be responsible for sales, marketing, training, and service for arkona's recently released BLADE//runner portfolio, which provides a wide variety of IP core infrastructure tools for audio/video routing, compression, processing, and multi-viewing.

Paulo Lima stated: "GTC's long-term relationships with best-of-breed technology companies has allowed us to provide our customers value that goes beyond the products these companies offer individually."

Lima continued: "arkona is the missing link GTC were seeking. We can now accomplish our technology differentiation strategy goal, and our customers will be able to distinguish themselves from the competition and provide sustainable, future-proof services others cannot."

Erling Hedkvist, Sales & Business Development Manager for arkona said: "In GTC we have found the perfect partner with extensive experience in supplying and supporting high-end broadcast clients in the Portuguese market. Together with Paulo and his team, we are excited to offer technology-as-a-service with our BLADE//runner platform."
