IBC OPENS AFTER THREE-MINUTE SILENCE

IBC did not open to visitors until 12.03pm, after the Europe wide three-minute silence a a mark of respect for the victims of the Terrorist Attack on America.
Chris Dalton, the IBC Conference Chairman, said: "As individuals, many Americans don't wish to or can't travel - and corporate decisions have been made in Europe and the US not to travel. While we respect these decisions, IBC is an international show and it has a momentum which can't be stopped."
Located in the 77,000 gross square metres at the Amsterdam RAI the IBC exhibition is one of the world's premier electronic media event.
The total net exhibition inside floor space is estimated at around 45,000 square metres (500,000 square feet).
There is also 2,000 square metres of outdoor exhibits. The exhibition features 1000 companies, covering extensive state of the art technologies. (CD)
