IBC and CSTB Russia enter into promotion agreement

The International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) has entered into an agreement with Midexpo, the organisers behind CSTB Russia, the successful cable & satellite, TeleRadioFilmTechnology and Broadband Communication exhibition and conference in Moscow.
The agreement, which initiates cross-promotional activities, will raise the visibility of IBC within the Russian market and likewise facilitate CSTB penetration and recognition within the European market. Both parties believe that this will lead to closer co-operation between Russian and European companies working in the field of satellite television and telecommunications. Undoubtedly, this will also facilitate the faster incorporation of Russia into European fields of media development and distribution technology.
An additional session will be added to the CSTB 2003 conference, providing IBC with the opportunity to present the leading technological themes and developments of the IBC conference and exhibition. This will be augmented by presentations from selected speakers representing the key developments that were introduced and discussed at IBC 2002.
Critical to the process of developing the required awareness of CSTB Russia in Europe, the IBC exhibition catalogue and "Daily News" will carry advertising and editorial contributions detailing the opportunities that the vast and rapidly growing markets of Russia offer. As the IBC exhibition catalogue has become one of the key sources of industry and business references throughout the year, this is of significant value.
Martin Salter, Chairman of IBC Conference commented, "We are enthusiastic that this agreement with Midexpo, and in particular, our participation in the CSTB Russia conference, will allow us to raise awareness of IBC and undoubtedly increase visitors to IBC from Russia and CIS. This co-operation will also ensure that an increasing number of European companies will be able to appreciate the opportunities presented by the Russian market."
Irina Nedumova, General Director of Midexpo, noted: "This agreement with IBC is a real breakthrough. It will further strengthen CSTB Russia by bringing truly pan-European contributions to the exhibition and conference. It will also attract more goods and services from the expanding telecommunication field to the Russian market, as it relates to the almost limitless development of the broadcasting markets."
IBC is the main event for professionals involved in entertainment content, creation, management and distribution. The exhibition attracts over 1000 exhibitors, including the world's top technology suppliers and attracts more than 40,000 attendees from over 120 countries worldwide.
