BSKYB APPOINT INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

THE Directors of British Sky Broadcasting Group (BSkyB) have announced the appointment of David Evans as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company, with effect from Friday 21 September 2001.
Evans is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Crown Media Holdings previously known as Hallmark Entertainment Networks.
BSkyB provide sports, entertainment and breaking news via mobile phones, personal digital assistants and portals including Sky.com and Skysports.com, which have combined monthly page impressions totalling over 75 million.
BSkyB introduced satellite broadcasting to the UK in 1989 with four channels. In 1998 Sky launched the country's first digital television platform, broadcasting over 200 channels. (CD)
