NOA Gears Up To Attend CABSAT

News Image
NOA GmbH is gearing up to attend CABSAT, May 17–19 (Booth A7-11).

The event takes place at the World Trade Centre in Dubai.

Large-scale AV archiving projects continue to grow rapidly on a global and regional level due to the pandemic. The urgent scenario has reminded institutions of the importance of maintaining their archives by digitizing and recording them for easy accessibility. The sparked interest in content preservation has also convinced many establishments of the necessity to develop long-term digitization strategies to safeguard media.

For NOA, CABSAT is an important event and a pleasant venue to go to, Jean-Christophe Kummer, NOA’s Managing Partner, points out.

After Sharjah Media Corporation started in 2017 their archive journey with NOA for its Archive Asset Management (AAM) system mediARC and just renewed a multi-year service and maintenance contract, NOA, now signed the second large archive installation, which is an audio and video archive CAPEX workflow system with United Arab Emirates-based public service broadcaster and media company Abu Dhabi Media for the digitization of the organization’s entire national archive, including but not limited to 32 channels of Video Digitization as well as 16 channels of parallel audio.

This year, NOA will be on hand at CABSAT on stand A7-11 with three of its colleagues. These include Jean-Christophe Kummer, Manuel Corn, and Bruno Burtre.

With the goal of meeting various clients and continuing conversations about large projects with new clients in the region, NOA will highlight ways technology can support media companies in the preservation process of audiovisual archives. The company will also illustrate examples of previous digitization projects in the region and elsewhere, including that of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, where it assisted in streamlining the organization’s AV archiving workflow.

In addition, NOA will showcase its recently developed tools to automate and simplify the process of digitization, storage and retrieval of media content as well as appropriate metadata annotation and management.
