HTV HOST WORKSHOP TO DEVELOP BROADCASTING SKILLS
HTV's public commitment to making a difference to the community was illustrated when the company hosted a workshop for older people.
With advice and guidance from HTV journalists, the aim was to develop the broadcasting skills of the delegates and to explore the representation of older people on television.
Some 20 delegates from Wales and the West attended the workshop which was organised by the ITC and Help the Aged and held at HTV's Bristol base.
Sandra Jones, Controller and Director of Programmes HTV West, said: "HTV are committed to providing a diverse and high quality programme service to our viewers. This means making sure that people of all ages and backgrounds are represented on screen. The workshop has been an opportunity for us to acknowledge the current and potential contribution of older people to our programmes." (CD)
