Omneon opens new Tokyo office

Omneon Video Networks has opened a new office in Tokyo.
The office will establish a local Omneon presence in Japan, enabling the company to better meet the growing demand for its products there while providing local support functions for Omneon customers throughout the country.
"We are very pleased with the response that we've received from the Japanese market over the last 12 months in terms of both customer wins and new system integration partnerships," said Dan Marshall, vice president of sales for Omneon. "The new Tokyo office will make it easier for us to address the unique local needs of the Japanese market and provide local on-going support service to our customers over the long term."
Initial staff for the Tokyo office will include Mr. Yasuyuki Yoshida in the position of sales engineer and Ms. Kay Yamashita, who will fill a business development role.
Mr. Yoshida will provide technical sales assistance as well as technical support to existing customers. Ms. Yamashita will lead direct sales efforts as well as have responsibility for establishing and maintaining key business relationships with systems integrators and dealers in the region.
