VertigoXmedia opens new sales office in Dubai

VertigoXmedia, a leading provider of broadcast graphics software and hardware, has announced that Raed al Tikriti will be heading up its new office in Dubai, UAE.
al Tikriti, who has been with Vertigo since 2000 as Team Leader in the Software Development group, will spearhead development and support of sales channels in the Middle East, India, and the rest of Asia.
He reports directly to VertigoXmedia Executive Vice President of Sales Darin Crosby. "Raed is a tremendously sharp individual who understands our products inside and out, from the standpoint of both the systems developer and end user," said Crosby. "His ability to communicate effectively in both English and Arabic will help us to better serve our customers in the region."
In his new role, al Tikriti will coordinate sales and customer support of the company's broadcast graphics systems and graphics automation suite in Asia. Given his strong technical background, he also will provide product support to the growing channel of dealers and resellers in the area.
Prior to joining Vertigo, al Tikriti was a team leader at Systemcorp ALG, where he guided the development of a three-tier, Web-based Enterprise Project Management application. Developed in cooperation with IBM, the application was designed to scale for support of up to 300,000 users. al Tikriti also served as a senior developer in the core R&D team of Montreal-based CAE Electronics.
