Quartz scores with Turkish football channel

Turkish football club Fenerbahce has installed a Quartz router system at the Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Stadium for its new 24-hour-a-day TV Channel, FBTV (Fenerbahce Television).
The established football club installed a Quartz SDI router and corresponding stereo audio router with various control panels through Quartz's Turkish distributor and leading systems integrators, Basari Elektronik A.S.
Because at least half of the broadcasting operations at FBTV are live, product reliability was paramount to the purchasing decision. Chief Engineer at FBTV, Yekta Hercicek, said: "Quartz has built up a very good reputation in the Turkish Market, having provided router systems to major Turkish broadcasters such as TRT and CNN Turk, so we had confidence in the company name. This proven reliability, coupled with the competitive pricing, was the main reason for choosing Quartz. The products are also flexible in terms of integration and serviceability."
The new router system will access a pool of hi-tech broadcasting equipment, including a Pinnacle PD-6000i Vision Mixer, robotic cameras, Panasonic DVCPRO VTRs, an AV mixer and an XL server, along with other state of the art technology.
FBTV offers a variety of Fenerbahce associated live and pre-recorded programmes for an audience of fans. The new channel broadcasts coverage of international and club football, including the Brazilian State Champion League ‘Campeonato Brasileiro’.
