Showtime selects Pro-Bel Sirius for relocation project

Middle Eastern pay-TV platform Showtime, which is owned and operated by Gulf DTH, has selected Pro-Bel's high performance Sirius router for its new state-of-the-art Broadcast Centre based in the Dubai Media City.
The new facility, which will also accommodate Showtime's headquarters, is set to be operational in June 2004.
The Pro-Bel Sirius 128x128 router will interface to ingest and playout automation systems providing Showtime with transparent and automatic conversion of any input to any output, analogue or digital.
Showtime's relocation to Dubai will see a consolidation of its broadcast operations, which are currently based in London and Cairo. The installation, which includes hi-tech playout and satellite DVT technology, is being carried out by systems integrator, Sony Professional Services.
