AVANT PLUS FILM AND POST CONSOLE DEMOED

SOLID State Logic have demonstrated the many advanced features now available on Avant Plus, the application-specific digital post-production and film dubbing console.
Earning its ‘Plus’ status through the implementation of proprietary SSL HS processing, Avant Plus now benefits from enhanced performance and a number of new features designed to improve productivity in post production environments.
Avant Plus has up to 96 fully featured channels, as well as up to 96 pre-dub channels, feeding 32 dedicated main buses and the console is available in frame sizes from 16 to 96 channels.
New features now available on Avant Plus include Pre Mix Masters where multiple 6 or 8 channel pre mixes can be stacked beneath individual maser faders. This allows a large number of pre mix channels to be ‘ hidden’ from the main control surface and frees the bulk of the console’s real estate for primary audio sources.
New Super Grouper control grouping allows any set of rotary controls, faders and/or switches to be freely grouped across the console. Controls may be grouped in Relative, Link, Inverse Relative or Inverse Link modes, providing fast access to a range of powerful mix tools and enhanced creative possibilities.
Pan Point Panning adds to the comprehensive surround panning capabilities of Avant Plus. Pan Point complements the console’s multiple joystick controls, with pen and tablet operation. Providing ultra-high resolution, Pan Point Panning enables immediate pickup operation when updating dynamic automation.
Another new feature of Avant Plus is the tilting TFT screen, which displays a 64 x 8 programmable matrix providing unambiguous routing monitoring, and facilitates record aiming for distant recorder control and multi-format source selection. Virtual Paddles provide paged access to 48 track/record enables from any of 8 assignable keys, providing fast recorder control during premixing.
