Quartz add new features to QMC master control switchers
Quartz has added a wide range of new capabilities to the fast growing QMC range of master control switchers, as part of the latest software releases.
These include audio ‘sidecar’ controls, enhanced transitions and dynamic channel grouping in multi-channel systems. The audio sidecar feature allows third party control surfaces to be connected to QMC control panels and integrated into the QMC control system. The ‘side-car’ fader panel provides tactile control for audio levels and transitions as well as on-air control of key and logo layers. Operators can control audio levels directly from several motorised faders. A wide range of analogue functions can be assigned to any fader, and switches can also be assigned to any function using the intuitive QMCSetup configuration software. New transition capabilities allow audio and video transitions to be split and run independently at any time, under manual or automated control, with optional wipe transitions available on new systems. In large multi-channel systems the new "Markets" feature allows selection of channels into named groups, which can be controlled, dynamically selected and modified, all under manual or automated control.
This unique feature, developed by Quartz in conjunction with users of large QMC systems, simplifies operation of systems which transmit common program streams with regional commercial breakouts.
The new software is available at no charge to all QMC users. Customers should contact Quartz on +44 (0) 118 935 0200 before upgrading to confirm which features are available on existing systems.
