VertigoXmedia announce new system for NAB

VertigoXmedia, developer of broadcast graphics automation solutions, has announced that it will launch its new Xmedia MultiChannel Control System at NAB2004.
The new control system is a complete solution designed to provide station groups and large networks with a flexible, soft panel approach to managing and deploying graphics at both centralized and remote sites.
"With the Xmedia MultiChannel Control System, master control operators have the power to use a single control screen to manage graphics and deploy them simultaneously over a number of different channels," explained VertigoXmedia CEO David Wilkins. "And since the system supports multiple character generators, formats, and languages, broadcasters can integrate the new system into their existing operations without costly equipment upgrades. By streamlining the process of creating, scheduling, and automatically transferring content to the various playout channels, we effectively reduce the resources needed to operate a multichannel facility."
The new system features the company's Xpanel on-air control system, through which operators can manage data-linked graphics from asset ingest to final broadcast on multiple channels simultaneously. The Xpanel application includes soft graphical control panels that can be customized easily for the master control operator's needs. These control panels enable the user to load graphics - such as data-driven tickers and animated station logos - onto any output channel, make changes to one or more channels simultaneously via a single click, and link live data feeds to the templated graphics for automatic, on-air updates.
