BBC Win Exclusive UK Rights For 'Killing Eve' Series Three

BBC have won exclusive UK distribution rights for series three of Golden Globe-winning show 'Killing Eve'.

Series one of the drama, developed by 'Fleabag' star Phoebe Waller-Bridge, hit UK screens on BBC One last year, and since has accumulated over 46 million requests on BBC iPlayer.

Killing Eve stars Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer and Fiona Shaw and is produced by Sid Gentle Films Ltd. for BBC America.

Charlotte Moore, BBC Director of Content, said: "It's fantastic news that there will be a third series of this award winning hit drama and we're delighted UK audiences will be able to see Killing Eve exclusively on the BBC. In the mean-time Villanelle and Eve will be returning to BBC One and BBC iPlayer for a second series soon."

Based on the Codename Villanelle novellas by Luke Jennings, the third season will be executive produced by Sally Woodward Gentle, Lee Morris, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Gina Mingacci, Damon Thomas and Sandra Oh. Jeff Melvoin ('Designated Survivor', 'Alias') also joins the team as executive producer. The series is distributed by Endeavor Content.

BBC have not yet confirmed a UK air date for the second series, which premiered on BBC America earlier this week.
