Kanal D Acquires Over 30 Sony Handheld Camcorders

Kanal D, a nationwide television channel in Romania, has acquired 33 Sony PXW-Z280 and PXW-Z190 professional 4K handheld camcorders in a bid to further bolster its wireless news production capabilities.

The new state-of-the-art camcorders have been acquired through accredited supplier Romanian SPSS RomTek Electronics and highlight Kanal D's ongoing commitment to creating high-quality and engaging news content.

As part of Sony family of XDCAM camcorders, the PXW-Z280 and PXW-Z190 offer advanced wireless capabilities that provide broadcasters, like Kanal D, with easy and cost-effective solutions to bring content first to air or to their web presence. Since launching at NAB last year, news organisations across Europe have invested in Sony latest camcorders, including Scotland’s largest digital media brand STV, and broadcaster Bosnian-Herzegovinian Radio Television (BHRT).
