ITN INSTALLS JVC PROJECTOR FOR ITV NEWS

ITN have installed a JVC DLA-G20 projector as part of the studio set for their ITV News programmes.
The projector features in the opening shot of each bulletin, showing the main news event graphic of the day.
Steve Luck, broadcast support team leader at ITN, said: "The DLA-G20 was chosen because it was a compact, cost-effective solution. It gives a bright, smooth, well-resolved image, and its size allows us to have a main and backup projector running in the same space that the previous projector had taken up alone."
The decision to choose the JVC projector was made jointly by ITN’s technical purchasing committee and lighting directors and other members of the creative team.
The projector uses JVC’s unique D-ILA technology, which offers excellent contrast and high brightness while retaining a smooth, non-pixellated appearance. The DLA-G20 combines true S-XGA resolution allowing even high definition video sources to be reproduced accurately - with a maximum light output of 2000 ANSI lumens and a 350:1 contrast ratio.
