JVC projector used for D-Cinema initiative at IBC 2002

As part of the IBC2002 D-Cinema initiative, JVC Professional, a leading provider of projection technology, will be demonstrating its ultra-high resolution commercial QXGA projector on Sunday, September 15th within the 1700-seater D-cinema theatre. In collaboration with various partners JVC will be projecting high resolution images that match the depth and true-to-life presence of film. Here visitors to the RAI centre will have the chance to view a variety of both Œreal- world¹ and simulation material.
Hajime Yamasaki, deputy managing director at JVC Professional in the UK, is delighted to be a part of this initiative at IBC 2002, "This is a great opportunity for a wide-range of visitors to view the capabilities of the DLA-QX1G projector in a realistic environment." The QXGA projector from JVC Professional has a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and an extended contrast of more than 1000:1 it matches and exceeds the current quality achieved by 35mm film. With an outstanding brightness of 7000 ANSI lumens, the DLA-QX1G projector delivers clear, sharp and film-like detail on a large screen. Even the demanding resolution requirements of CAD/CAM images can be clearly displayed with vivid detail and crisp contrast.
