Take 2, leading supplier of professional digital and motion picture equipment within the film and television industry, has appointed Alan Piper as Managing Director.

Alan has a remarkable track record and nearly four decades of professional experience in the film industry.

In his new role, Alan will be responsible for leading business development, strategy and leadership to drive brand growth for Take 2. Alan will spearhead the development and implementation of the organisation's overall growth and profitability, working closely with existing Take 2 staff.

Alan brings with him close to forty years' experience in the film industry. He was most recently Managing Director at RED Europe Ltd, where over the past nine years he grew the team from an initial three people focusing mainly on technical support, to a business of 30 people, responsible for the sales and service for RED product throughout EMEA, with agents appointed in major regions and significant revenue generation.

On the appointment of Alan, John Brennan, Group CEO of Procam Group, said that his business network, proven leadership and outstanding vision for business development and strategy will be invaluable for helping Take 2 accelerate growth in the coming months.

He said: "We took careful consideration and time in selecting new leadership for Take 2 and are confident we have found the right individual to provide an improved structure for the scale of business, while nurturing a client-centric culture that focuses on providing the very best service that Take 2 is known for. We are thrilled to welcome Alan on board. As Alan's role and contributions expand, we know he will be an integral part of the future success of the Take 2."

Prior to RED, Alan served as Group Operations Director at Lee Lighting Ltd within the Panavision Europe Group, before which he was Technical Sales Manager at Cine-Europe for six years and European Technical Director at Panavision for four years. Prior to this, Alan served ten years at ARRI (GB) Ltd where he was instrumental in developing the camera service department and was ultimately responsible for all camera business, both sales and technical.

Alan said: "Over the years I have had the opportunity to get to know many members of the team and I now look forward to working alongside them. The Procam Group ownership moves Take 2 onward and upward, and I am hugely excited to be part of the team that will grow and expand the business."
