Alan Holden joins Deltron on BES acquisition

Deltron Emcon acquired the highly regarded broadcast patch panel business, BES Electronics in July 2005.
Coinciding with the acquisition, Alan Holden was appointed Business Development Manager, broadcast product group.
Deltron is already active in the Broadcast market with its Media brand of patch panels, mains distribution products and the emediamax range of innovative routing products.
Holden's preliminary task is to ensure a smooth transition as the BES products are absorbed by the Deltron manufacturing team at Scunthorpe.
"Customer service is paramount in our industry and the target is to make the acquisition imperceptible to our clients. Our objective is to provide a seamless move to the new manufacturing facility and maintain the high standards of customer care that BES have demonstrated," he said.
Holden's original background is technical and his early career involved designing and installing scientific instruments. This was followed by a period in military electronics managing test equipment and radio projects.
His move into the broadcast sector came when appointed Design Manager at Matthey Electronics producing high performance video filters and ultimately SDI interfacing products and routers.
He was promoted to Sales Manager and latterly General Manager at Matthey. A short spell at Metawave Video Systems, where he was Operations Manager, was followed by four years as Sales Manager at BAL Broadcast, selling a wide range of broadcast products.
Holden commented: "I am looking forward to working at Deltron which has the ethos of providing small-company service but with the back-up of a large plc."
