A.F. Associates to design and build HD facility

A.F. Associates, Inc. (AFA), an Ascent Media Network Services company, has been contracted by Herring Broadcasting to design and build facilities to produce and originate ‘Wealth TV’, a high definition network scheduled to launch in the summer of 2004.
Technical facilities will include HD studios, various post-production suites, digital content management, and network origination for the San Diego-based network. Major equipment will include Sony HDC930 cameras, a Sony MVS-8000 production switcher, Pinnacle servers, Harris automation, and Final Cut Pro editing systems.
“All of us at A.F. Associates are excited to be part of a start-up network that will be fully HD," said AFA President Tom Canavan. "We are also pleased that Wealth TV immediately showcases the value of our January 1 acquisition of Sony's Systems Integration Center. Our new resources, increased west coast presence and industry-leading HD experience will greatly facilitate this fast track project."
