Media Production Show 2018 Launches Host Of New Features

News Image
The Media Production Show 2018 (MPS) has been launched with the unveiling of three new content theatres showcasing Live Production, Audio and Digital Disrupters, as well as hosting a Production Services Village for the first time.

The event also welcomes world-leading experts speaking across a variety of topics, as well as some exciting new exhibitors joining the many companies returning to London's Olympia on 12-13 June 2018.

Charlotte Wheeler, Event Director, MPS, said: "As MPS continues to grow in size and reputation, we are constantly looking for new and relevant ways to present technology, talent and trends to our creative audience.

"For the first time ever at a UK show, we're excited to deliver a real hands-on experience of the latest technology that delivers a live production experience, while industry leading speakers in our new Digital Disrupters theatre will examine the colliding worlds of SVOD, VR, AR and other disruptive technologies. Add to these the new Audio Zone and Theatre, plus the international Production Services Village, some old favourites and a few more surprises in store, and MPS 2018 already looks like an unmissable event."

Visitors to the new Live Production Theatre at MPS will gain a true sense of the live environment and find a place to experiment and gain expertise in the technology available today. Sponsored by Blackmagic Design and partnered with Disguise, this new feature at the show will be a major attraction for 2018.

The Digital Disrupters Theatre will explore the changing worlds of content delivery and consumption through disruption and technology. From the converging worlds of SVOD, new content generators, VR, AR and YouTube, speakers will discuss, debate and demonstrate the latest work from digital content creators and those using new technologies and deliverables in an increasingly digital world.

A new Audio Zone and Theatre, in partnership with Resolution Magazine, will also feature on the show floor for the first time, with a dedicated theatre covering topics including ADR, sound on location, sound in post, technical seminars and audio case studies from recent film and TV projects. The zone also features demo pods where audio companies will bring their latest technology for visitors to play with.

The Production Services Village will bring a variety of new companies to the show, offering international production services for producers and the wider production community. Among those already confirmed in this zone are The Backstage Centre, onefinestay, Syncbox, Lidar Lounge, Behind The Scenes and Grandma Production Services from Lithuania.

MPS is pleased to welcome many other new exhibitors to the show this year, including Fujinon, Sigma Imaging, voices.com, Hague Camera Supports, Hawk Woods, Sohonet, Editshare, Ikegami, Celebro Studios, Aerial Craft, Lidar Lounge and Camera Corps. Exhibitors returning and supporting the show once again in 2018 include Panasonic, Global Distribution, Digibox, Cooke Optics, Altered Images, Blackmagic Design, Canon UK, JVCKENWOOD, Holdan, Fujifilm, Really Bright Media, The Crewing Company, SiSo, Three Four Media, Jigsaw24, WEX Photo Video, LaCie, Garland Partners and Contour Design to name but a few.
