Broadcast Production Show 2005 boasts new features
Two new features have been announced for the The Broadcast Production Show, which takes place from June 1-3 2005 at its new home Earls Court 2.
To encompass the rise in interactive and branded television the 2005 show will host a brand new workshop, The Channel Centre, sponsored by ntl: Broadcast. For cameramen, DoP’s, lighting directors and videographers, the new Camera Skills & Craft Workshops will focus on craft based issues around shooting for film and television.
The ntl: Broadcast Channel Centre is aimed at broadcasters, producers, interactive television specialists and transmission engineers and will be a three-day conference stream with surrounding exhibitors, including ntl:, Globecast and Tandberg. In support of the show’s networking theme, the main Show Bar will be sponsored by Inmedia. The free conference sessions’ content will be a mix of business and transmission technology; advice on launching a new television channel, including some introductory sessions to the subject; and alternative delivery and mobile technology.
The Camera Skills & Craft Workshops will focus on issues around the shooting process and will include hands on demonstrations and conference sessions with content provided by industry guilds such as GTC, STLD, GOLM, PMA and DGGB. Visitors to the workshop can also see and test the latest kit from exhibitors including Sony, Thomson, Leitch and On Sight.
“As the leading show in the broadcast industry we are committed to looking to the new issues surrounding the craft and business of television and film production. These two new feature areas will provide a wealth of information with hands-on demonstrations on these two important subjects,” said Lucy McPhail, Event Manager, The Broadcast Production Show.
