RTS Midlands Centre Appoints Caren Davies

News Image
The Royal Television Society (RTS) Midlands Centre has announced the appointment of Caren Davies as its new Chair. She succeeds outgoing Chair, Isabel Clarke, who will stay on as a committee member.

Davies takes up the role of Chair with immediate effect.

Theresa Wise, CEO, RTS, said: "It has been my privilege to work with Isabel over the last four years. She has helped to build morale and pride in the Midlands Centre with a quiet but heartfelt energy. Under her leadership, the RTS has built strong relationships with children who have a potential interest in the television industry – through a workshop programme in schools, many students have been recognized through the RTS Midlands Student Awards and the Centre has held prestigious annual lectures fielding leaders in the Television Industry."

Caren Davies added: "It's an honour to take over as Chair of the RTS Midlands Centre. As an educational charity the RTS plays a valuable role in the Midlands TV industry, which is currently undergoing an exciting time of change and growth. I'm looking forward to leading the Committee and working with the industry to showcase our region, celebrate achievements across the midlands with our annual awards and creating a calendar of exciting events throughout the year."
